EOS awarded Top 100 Innovator Seal 2021
Leading technology provider in industrial 3D printing wins innovation competition / Scientific selection process passed
____Krailling, March 8, 2021
EOS, the world's leading technology provider in the field of industrial 3D printing for metals and polymers, has been awarded the TOP 100 Innovator Seal 2021. This award honors particularly innovative medium-sized companies - now for the 28th time. EOS had previously proven its innovative strength in a scientific selection process.
On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the TOP 100 innovation competition, the innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the innovative strength of EOS. The researchers used around 120 test criteria from five categories as a basis: Top management promoting innovation, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation, and innovation success. The core question is whether innovations are the result of a planned approach or a product of chance, i.e. the repeatability of innovation performance. And it is also about whether and how the corresponding solutions succeed on the market. Due to the current situation, this round also included a special section examining the entrepreneurial response to the Corona crisis. In recent years, EOS has been selected as one of the top innovators and consultants several times.
"In the past two years, we have taken our innovation activities to a new level. We innovate in a very targeted, fast, co-operative, and customer-oriented way. We are therefore very pleased to receive this award, which underscores our commitment to innovation. This has always been a part of our DNA, at the same time motivating and driving us since our foundation in 1989. Our goal is to make our customers successful in the adoption and application of industrial 3D printing so that they can innovate faster and thus remain competitive."
Dr. Marco Nock, SVP Innovation Management at EOS
"He continues, "For us, innovation in this context is a company-wide strategic approach that includes both business and technology innovation and is constantly scrutinized and developed to adapt to ever-changing conditions. At the same time, our actions are driven by the triad of digitalization, industrialization, and sustainability. In this way, we not only create added value for our customers, but also make a sustainable contribution to society at the same time."
Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, the scientific director of TOP 100, is impressed by the award-winning medium-sized companies. "The TOP 100 companies have consistently focused on being as innovative as possible," he notes.
On November 26, there will be another reason to celebrate when all award winners of the current TOP 100 year will come together to receive congratulations from Ranga Yogeshwar at the 7th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. The science journalist has been mentoring the innovation competition for ten years.
